First seminar with Matthew Fox in Switzerland on the spirituality of the 21st Century:
MATTHEW FOX, San Francisco
SCIENCE AND MYSTICISM
Hildegard of Bingen and the new cosmology
Albert Einstein and Teilhard de Chardin meet part of mysticism
In ancient Judeo-Christian traditions rooted, enriched by the newest and exciting discoveries of modern science and the wisdom of supporting social, environmental, and social harmony in itself – giving easy access to the spirituality in the message of the movement, represented by Matthew Fox. The concern of our time is to get as various spirits as Hildegard of Bingen with modern biologists and Albert Einstein and ancient mystics to a common table. For cultural history can be characterized as a mystic pioneers of human consciousness. And the mystic and scientist Pierre Teilhard de Chardin had prefigured this dialogue in the spirit and realize that man is not lost in the wilds of the universe, but that a universal will to live together flows into him. Man is not the fixed center of the universe, but the axis of development and deepening.
Today in the face of environmental and peace policy challenges, the question arises, how can we model of this new wisdom – cosmological, scientific, philanthropic. As we reactualize the sacred in our time and place the balance between male and female energies to the welfare of our world in balance, we can reveal a new Passion, in the old wisdom and new requirements to sound simultaneously together.
In this seminar, Matthew Fox takes the example of Hildegard of Bingen as a source of learning together, which is able to offer the philosopher, healer, mystic and artist. Fully inspiring exercises to develop the corresponding archetypes as well as transition and initiation ceremonies give the seminar the necessary depth. So we are intrinsically representatives of creativity, spirituality, and loyalty life.
Matthew Fox was 34 years in the Dominican Order. He holds a PhD (history and theology of spirituality) and established for learning universal spirituality, the “University of Creation Spirituality” in Oakland. He is also author of 31 books. www.matthewfox.org
