This course gives you the opportunity to deeply experience the revolution in education and the shift from knowledge to wisdom as the basis for learning.Imagine. How would the world be different if students began to learn what it means to be wise? What if the Spirit of Sophia were invited into our educational systems, and subsequently into our lives, our governments, our businesses, our churches?Wisdom Education is the catalyst for systemic change in all areas of our lives, and Theodore Richards is the emerging leader of this movement. He is currently the director of the Chicago Wisdom Project. Prior to that heworked with Matthew Fox on the YELLAWE program in Oakland, California. Now, through the Chicago Wisdom Project, Theodore is offering certification to others who want to become part of the Wisdom Education movement.Join Theodore for two hours each Thursday night in May and you willexperience a process similar to the one used with students at the Chicago Wisdom Project. Weekly classes will be held via teleconference from 5-7 p.m. Pacific
Time, beginning May 2. You will come away with:
- a rigorous philosophical foundation for a radical new way of thinking about education
- a sample curriculum
- practical, hands-on methods to work with youth in an embodied and experiential way
- certification as a “Wisdom Teacher” through the Chicago Wisdom Project
- support and networking with fellow Wisdom Teachers.
Registration is $199 at CSourceWisdom.com for the five, two-hour sessions.
Here’s what Matthew Fox
has to say about Theodore Richards and his work:“Theodore Richards has been an amazing director and leader in the YELLAWE movement. He brings dedication, commitment, intelligence and years of experience with inner city kids. He knows the new cosmology and the Creation Spirituality tradition in depth because he lives them as well as writes about them. He, too, is in deep search for an era where Wisdom and not just Knowledge dictates the goal and process of education.”
We hope you will register today and join us for this journey into the reinvention and re-imagining of education. The seed of wisdom education is beginning to sprout! Join in the co-creation of this transformative work!
With gratitude,

The modern era’s vision of a “mechanical” universe effectively banished all intelligent discussion of angels and their roles in our lives. Where they were depicted, they were trivialized as tiny bambinos with wings. The tradition teaches that angels are great beings with great intellects and great hearts (Aquinas: “Angels cannot help but love.”). With the end of the modern era, angels are free to be present and active again amongst us working with humans for the common good of earth, society and the cosmos. We will discuss ideas from The Physics of Angels by Matthew Fox and Rupert Sheldrake, plus participants’ experiences and questions.By registering for this live webinar, for each webinar event you will receive the following:
- 90 minutes of live, interactive webinar content.
- 30 minutes of question-and-answer time with the teacher.
- A 30-day access to download a recording of the complete webinar, after the event. (Free software provided to view.)
Computer System Requirements
No matter where you are on the planet, as long as you have a computer with a broadband connection, web browser, and sound capabilities (microphone and speakers or headset), you will be able to participate and engage in the question-and-answer period. Jun8LIVE WEBINAR: The Wisdom of the Mystics: Hildegard of Bingen, Meister Eckhart and Julian of Norwich @ Online through New York Open CenterSaturday: 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

Carl Jung says that it is to the mystics that we owe what is best in humanity. Mysticism is the experience of “oneing” (a phrase from Julian of Norwich), of deep union, and of communion with the sacredness of nature and of all beings. This webinar, drawing on Matthew’s new book, Hildegard of Bingen:
A Saint for Our Times, presents the teachings of a 12th century prophet and two other great Christian mystics. Hildegard seems to be sounding a call to action as relevant today as it was in her time. She sought the restoration of deeply buried feminine wisdom, and was an outspoken figure seeking justice for the poor who demonstrated a passion for the earth.By registering for this live webinar, for each webinar event you will receive the following:

Jun28Cosmic Christ and the Historical Jesus @ Pittsburgh, PA - OR OnlineFriday: 4:30 pm – 1:00 pm
June 28-30, 2013
Workshop 2: Cosmic Christ and the Historical Jesus
with guest presenter Bruce Chilton speaking on “Jesus and the Mystical Journey”
First United Methodist Church, Pittsburgh, PAHere are a few highlights:
- We’ll explore depictions of the historical Jesus and the new vision that has emerged during the last 30 years as a result of the work of The Jesus Seminar and scholars such as Fox, Harvey and Chilton.
- Matthew Fox will give an overview of the Historical Jesus as a revolutionary and a radical in all aspects of his message–political, economic, religious.
- Andrew Harvey will reveal the secret nature of Jesus’ teachings available in the Gospel of Thomas–and you will discover the Jesus who did not want to be adored as an avatar, but who had discovered an empowering and divinizing relationship with the Father/Mother, and sought to share it with everyone.
- Matthew Fox will introduce a new, transformative practice that he has been working on — the Stations of the Cosmic Christ. This practice can transform us and inspire the artist in us to create our own Stations.
- We’ll view a film presentation of Father Bede Griffiths, on the depths of mantra and meditation practice on the Christ Path
Guest Presenter Bruce Chilton speaks on “Jesus and the Mystical Journey”
The ancient Near East formed the cradle, not only of civilization, but also of mystical practice. Recent scholarship has uncovered a continuous stream of wisdom, from millennia prior to Jesus, focused on union with God. The power of Jesus’ influence stems from his mastery of that tradition, and his practice can be discovered in the pages of the New Testament and Gnostic literature.Register now for this unprecedented event…
…and tell your friends! Once again Matthew and Andrew are offering a gift-economy registration fee of just $50. The more people who participate, the more sustainable this pricing becomes. It takes just 800 people registered to cover the costs of the event–and with the power of live streaming technology, that is very possible. Move the gift forward that Matthew and Andrew have offered by encouraging your friends to attend and helping us to spread the word. The momentum is growing! Thank you for being part of it!
This registration fee does not include food, meals, or lodging for the on-site event. These need to be arranged separately (see logistical info below). It also does not include a stipend for any of the three presenters, or the very significant costs of presenting the event on-site and online, so you will be invited to make a gift offering to support these costs while registering, or at some point during the weekend. Please give as generously as your heart and spirit direct!
